Marketing
Target Marketing group: The group of people that we are targeting are juniors and seniors out from High Schools, collage students, and also anyone else.
Target Price: $30,000
Financial Summary
We determined the pricing of the Hutamaki based on how much it will cost for production. Then we added $5,000 so that we could make a profit. We determined that the cost of hybrid engines will start to drop in the future, and we found a site to show this: (http://www.auto.com/industry/iwird25_20021025). We subtracted 40% of the cost from the hybrid engine. We would need an initial investment of $750,000,000 to start production. We would receive some of this money by letting other companies have there stores in our dealerships and making a deal with video game companies so then they can put our car, the Hutamaki in there games. Our target market will be able to afford the car because they will probably be older people looking to travel after there children move out, and younger people who want to see the world and need a reliable new car.
With these figures we would have to sell 25,000 vehicles to break even. If we sold all the Hutamaki we make, we will have made a profit of $150,000,000.
Production Schedule
Concept: January 2005-August 2005
Design: September 2005-Febuary 2006
Build first model of car March-July 2006
By the end of 2006 the car will be ready for initial appearances at the 2007 car shows in Detroit and L.A.
After first car show appearances we will take in new ideas on how to improve upon the car and use any other ideas to build more models of our car in the beginning of 2008.
After improving on the car we will start our ad campaign around the end of 2008.
Production of the car will begin in March of 2009 and be available to all who wish to buy it in 2010.
Safety
The Hutamaki will have standard safety features such as seat-belts and as a new design, eight air bags total. The drivers airbag will come from under the steering wheel. When the air bag comes out, the wheel moves up automatically. Seat-belts will also have a layer of padding so if you are in an accident it will suppress the feeling you would get from a crash at your chest. In addition, a second set of headlights for the Hutamaki can be pointed in any direction( left, right, straight, or behind you). This will make hazards more visible to the driver.
Ergonomics (coming soon)
If you didn't understand anything in this site then you are now the most pitiful excuse for a human that ever walked the planet.
This Web Site Is a School Project( I needed a good grade so I just put on some stuff that earned me my F)
Considering the fact that I got an F, its all besides the point, because I did have fun with it
NOTE!!!!!!!: This is just a competition for car designs of the future made by Chrysler so they can take in ideas, Not a real car that will be sold in car dealerships
But only the very best car designs that win the competition might make it as far as a car show
